NZ Championships & Festival

History

Museum Dargaville KevinThe first New Zealand Championships were held in 1962 and since 1971 have been organised and run by the New Zealand Accordion Association.

In 1993, the South Pacific Championships were incorporated, allowing international competition from throughout the pacific rim countries.

Below is a list of results since 2002, along with reports since 2005.


2008 South Pacific and New Zealand Championships and Festival

A highly successful 2008 New Zealand Accordion Championships and Festival was held at the Raye Freedman Arts Centre in Epsom Girls Grammar School, where contestants and participants from as far away as China competed and performed over Queens Birthday weekend.  Follow the links below for reports and results for each days activities.
