Alanah Jones won the South Pacific 12 years and under solo category	Alexandra Reekie won the South Pacific Junior Virtuoso Entertainment Championship (18 years & under) category.

Patrick Liu won the Junior South Pacific Solo Championship for 18 years and under with 92 marks.	Edward Giffney won the South Pacific Solo Championship with an excellent 95 marks, top marks of the day.

The popular North Shore Music Makers Accordion Orchestra won the NZ Junior Orchestra Championships. Back row of the photo are: Stephen Cope compere, NZAA President Sonja Palinich, Conductor Christine Adams, Assistant tutor Renee Jeffries with all the players in front.

NZAA President Sonja Palinich making the Life Membership presentation.

Past Secretary to the Accordion Examination Board of NZ, past NZAA Treasurer and Life Member of the NZAA Dorothy Taylor was invited on stage for the Presentation of Life Membership award to her daughter Christine Johnstone.

Christine joins her mother on stage for the award.

NZAA President Sonja Palinich read out the Life Member Award Citation:

Christine Johnstone (then Christine Adams) was the first News Collator and Editor for the Accordions Worldwide Weekly News published in eight languages. She held this important job from 1996 to November 2003.

In 2004, Christine was awarded the Merit Award of the Conferederation Internationale des Accordeonistes for her contribution to communications between accordionists worldwide.

Christine Johnstone has been playing the accordion for over 45 years and has been teaching since she was 16 years old. She first gained experience as an orchestra player in the "Southern Cross Accordion Orchestra" conducted by George Hyde. Later, she studied with Fay Schaw and was a foundation member of the "Major Accordion Musicale" Orchestra.

During this time Christine had a number of successes in national accordion competitions, winning the Junior Duet, the 13 years and under Championship Class and the New Zealand Open Free Bass Championship.

Christine has also performed concerts in China and in Australia as a member of the North Shore Musicale Orchestra.

She currently is the Conductor of the North Shore Music Makers Orchestra who have won the New Zealand Intermediate Accordion Orchestra Championships and the Junior Accordion Orchestra Championships numerous times. Christine also conducted the 2012 New Zealand
Accordion Association Youth Orchestra who entertained in Auckland and Christchurch.

Her three adult children have followed their mother's footsteps playing the accordion and enjoying competition successes. Renee is a member of the newly formed Auckland Accordion Symphonetta, Shane is a past member of the North Shore Accordion Orchestra and Mark (the eldest) is a past member of the North Shore Accordiana Orchestra.

Three of Christine's grandchildren also play the accordion. Two grandsons are members of the Music Makers and her 13 year old granddaughter is a current member of the AAS.

Next invited on stage were Christine's children. Left Renee Jeffries, right Shane Adams and Mark Jeffries
All of the children have played in accordion orchestras. Shane also received the 2012 Cocurullo Family Trophy.

Then to fully round out 4 generations, were Christine's grandchildren who play accordion. Skylah Jeffries, Corrie and Craig Jeffries joined by NZAA President Sonja Palinich.

Lionel Reekie had a busy weekend as compere for the Finale Concert, conductor of the Auckland Accordion Symphonietta and also entertaining for the Farewell Dinner.

and the crowd on the dance floor having a great time. A really nice way to end the evening and very successful weekend.
